Since all slot machines have a payback less than 100%, the figure above for the Rebate/Input for slot machines is always too large and similarly, its reciprocal, the figure for Input/Rebate, always too small.

The exact figure can be obtained for play on any video poker machine, however. After determining which machine one is going to play, the exact figure for Rebate/Input is obtained by multiplying the machine's average payback by the Rebate/Input figure given in the chart. The reciprocal of the result of this calculation is the exact figure for Input/Rebate. These will be the figures with long-run play on that particular video poker machine.
[2] Several Las Vegas-area casinos handle cash back to their patrons in an indirect manner. Instead of being awarded cash, the patron uses a PIN associated with his players card to transfer accumulated cash benefits from his slot account to any gaming machine he wishes to play. On playing through these funds once, the results of this additional bonus play can be cashed out.

Chart entries associated with bonus play are usually slightly incorrect figures. Exact figures are actually machine dependent, as explained below.

The numbers in the chart concerning bonus play are based on the customer playing a machine with an average 100% payback. If the customer elects to play a slot machine, which would have no such pay schedule, the figure given in the above chart for the Rebate/Input for slot machines is always too large and similarly, its reciprocal, the figure for Input/Rebate, always too small.

However, if the player elects to use the bonus play on any video poker machine, an exact figure can be obtained. After determining which machine one is going to play, the exact figure for Rebate/Input is obtained by multiplying the machine's average payback by the Rebate/Input figure given in the chart. The reciprocal of the result of this calculation is the exact figure for Input/Rebate. These will be the figures with long-run play on that particular video poker machine.
[3] The Cash Back Per Points column is the minimum amount that the casino will award or redeem respectively as cash benefits. Those amounts (not the value of the ratio) sometimes change as a player becomes a preferred customer.
