Rockstar Club
The Hard Rock used to have a slot club which was close to impossible to describe and confusing to explain. When you realize that I write books about slot clubs and label the club in this manner, . . . imagine how it was for the customers.

All that has come to a screeching halt. Now the slot club is easy to explain.

The slot club distributes a funbook, actually a funsheet, with six coupons to new members. The coupons must be used in that particular month or they cease to be of value.

At Hard Rock, promos for additional machine play are easily handled through the issuance of special cards which, when inserted into the reader of a gaming machine of your choice (minor restrictions apply), will generate the words, "PROMO APPROVED." When the special card is withdrawn, your personal slot card can be inserted. You will then be able to play the machine using promotional credits awarded through the special card. The promotional credits cannot be cashed out; but winnings using the promotional credits may be cashed out, if you wish.

An item called comp dollars is also earned simultaneously with the earning of slot points. The rate is uncertain and variable. Both slot points and comp dollars can be used for most purchases.

Inserting your slot card into the card reader will cause the visual to display the words, "WELCOME," your name, and "GOOD LUCK."

The slot account expires with 18 months of inactivity.

Scrip: Merchandise can be obtained using either or both slot points and comp dollars. The minimum amount issued in these matters is for a $5 purchase. This will always avoid sales tax.
Food: For each slot point earned, you also earn an unknown quantity of comp dollars which are used first for meals at any restaurant. There are certain minimums, usually $5 in food. You should check the restaurant's menu prior to eating to obtain a properly sized voucher.
