When the slot card is properly inserted into a machine's reader, Card Accepted, your name (special greeting on birthday and anniversary), and your current slot point total will appear in that order and then be followed by a session total which will grow as play progresses.

Previously, the slot club system at Las Vegas Club awarded points for coin-out, rather than coin-in, at the rate of one slot point for each dollar won. Thus, losing at Las Vegas Club was doubly annoying.

The casino soon found that the coin-out system, i.e. points awarded for credits won, was unpopular and switched to a coin-in system, i.e. points awarded for credits played. Now one point is awarded to the slot card user for each dollar played.

Slot points are redeemable for cash at the rate of one dollar for 500 points or for complimentaries at the rate of $1.25 in comps for 500 points.

The slot points expire after 18 months.

500 points are redeemable for $1.25 in food value at all restaurants. This is a 25% increase over the cash rate of redemption, plus one avoids sales tax on the food purchase.
